Topic: Government Plans to Tax Horse Owners!

The UK government are planning to introduce a "stealth tax" for UK horse owners. This is to go towards the cost of a new government agency which will manage animal diseases in the UK such as Foot and Mouth. Read more here: http://blog.equinecompare.co.uk/2009/10 … taxed.html

The tax will be £10.50 per year per horse, which doesn't sound a lot but really what are horse owners getting for their money? New bridleways? Bridleway maintenance?
None of the above! yikes In my opinion we are funding something we will get little benefit from. sad
